| The Farmer in the Dell! Come wind your way through the farmstead where the animals are playing around the fence by the barn. Check out the large oak tree, and enjoy the bright sunshine that makes everything at the farm grow! The Farmer in the Dell is a fun song to sing and learn about animals at the farm and fun things to do at Sweetapple. In the maze, you’ll learn more about our own version of this famous children’s song. As you wind through the paths of this year’s maze you will learn about the animals at the farm – the chickens, cows, pigs, and of course the goats! Plus, learn how the sun makes things grow. |
| There are three games to play in the 2023 maze (1) The ‘easy way’ is 4’x4′ farmer signs to take photos. It takes 15-25 minutes – the fastest way. If you are taking little ones through the maze, this is your best bet to keep them busy. But, you’ll get back to the barn before they are exhausted. (2) The challenge: 30 signs that teach you about ducks, geese, ponds and wetlands! It takes at least one hour and you’ll see the entire maze (if you don’t give up!) (3) Who stole the hen’s eggs? Our interactive game is focused on 1st-5th graders to find out which animal on the farm stole the eggs. Just ask for a card of animals and tools. Then, use the paper punches on each station to punch your card. Whoever isn’t punched when you exit the maze is who stole the eggs! It is egg-citing!! It takes 30-45 minutes. |
